One of the main reasons for installing a tracking device is to acquire a measure of vehicle security. The system provides added security by enabling the user to immobilise and/or reactivate mobilisation of the vehicle at any time. This can prevent the vehicle from being started and driven without authorisation, or purposely kept immobilised and stationary at a location for reasons deemed necessary by the owner.
